"SHOOT FOR THE TROOPS!"
STARS & STRIPES FOUNDATION
Sat., August 15, 2009

It was a beautiful day in Newhall, CA at www.oaktreegunclub.org. Everyone came out to support the Stars and Stripes Foundation's annual Celebrity Shoot, "Shoot for the Troops", benefiting the www.woundedwarriors.org.

Kudos to Dan Reeves and Mark Christianson, Founders of Stars and Stripes Foundation for the tremendous job they did in putting on the event.

"Stars" came in various forms. Servicemen and Servicewomen from the National Guard, Army, Navy, and Marines, wounded veterans and their families, Vietnam Veteran, POW and Medal of Honor recipient Jon Cavailani, Dick Marcinko "Rogue Warrior", and Hollywood stars including Patrick Kilpatrick, Joe Penny, D.B. Sweeney, and Stacie Randall, to name just a few, plus producers, directors and our own team from Trigger Sports LIVE!

Generous individual donations and matching funds contributions boosted the organizations effort, making more money available to help our soldiers and veterans while serving abroad and when returning home.

The competition was exciting as shooting enthusiasts and first time participants shot trap, sporting clays, pistols and rifles. A small donation gave supporters the chance to shoot the "Big Mama" 50 cal.Sniper Rifle and rattle off rounds with the fully automatic M4 rifle.

Fun was had by all and all for a great cause. A heartfelt "Thank You" from ATSN to those that attended and to the ammo and target sponsors, volunteers and supporters. ATSN will be presenting segments of this event over the next few Episodes, Live every Weds. at noon. Check out Episode 33 (8-19-09) for the first installment!

The foundation motto..."Being forgotten is not an option!" HOOAH!!!

About ATSN

NOTE: ATSN was born from the already popular national Radio broadcast, "Trigger Sports Radio", hosted by James B. Towle. Towle wanted to bring the world of Trigger Sports to a whole new level by introducing video clips and LIVE coverage from shooting events, plus NRA updates from Headquarters, Hunting Reports and expert guests on Trigger Sports LIVE! an internet television weekly show. From there, Towle expanded by introducing Trigger Sports TV via DirecTV and Dish Network on the Pursuit Channel. Traveling across the USA, Towle and the ATSN film crew taped competitions and training events in all shooting discipline. Soon after, Towle realized that gun owners needed information on the responsibility of personal self-defense and gun handling beyond the shooting range, and Stop the Threat was born. Each week a panel of law enforcement experts discuss the re-enactment of true crime incidents that have occurred throughout the US and offer the audience sound information to better protect themselves and their loved ones. Towle often asks the viewers to consider "when to shoot or when to retreat". ATSN continues to be the leader in your trigger sports, and personal defense tactics and education.

Mission Statement

"To discuss the safe and responsible ownership of guns as a family sport and an American Tradition".
