James B. Towle and Stop the Threat: Live! to Host Gun Tasting
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 11, 2015

James B. Towle and Stop the Threat: Live! to host special “gun tasting” event

TV host and protection expert to offer a special event that would make the perfect gift for any man

HOUSTON, Texas – Protection and safety expert and founder of American Trigger Sports Network, James B. Towle, has the perfect solution for family members stuck in a Father’s Day gift-giving rut. Towle, host and executive producer of ATSN television show Stop The Threat, announced that he will present his inaugural Gun Tasting at Boyert Shooting Center in Houston on Tuesday, July 7 and Sunday, July 12. Here, three special “gun tasting” packages will be offered.

The gun tasting packages, with which recipients can try out varieties of different weapons from handguns to fully-automatic rifles, can be purchased at Boyert’s first anniversary celebration over Father’s Day weekend, June 20-21; tickets can be continued to be purchased at Boyert until the date of the actual gun tasting on July 7 and July 12.

The packages also include the cost of admission to special live versions of Towle’s show with Stop The Threat: Live!, which will be presented on site during the event. Audience members are encouraged to attend to meet Mr. Towle, participate in discussion concerning gun use based on reenactments of true crimes, and become educated on personal safety and protection in a multimedia, informative seminar.

Finger foods and refreshments will be available for participants, and Mr. Towle will also be available for meet-and-greets and photo opportunities. Participants can also enter a drawing for special door prizes sponsored by Stop The Threat.

“This is our second live version of the show, and the first time we’ve coupled it with this unique ‘gun tasting’ event,” Towle said. “Not only will the Stop The Threat: Live! presentations provide educational and academic knowledge, but the additional opportunities to fire a myriad of weapons will prove to be fun as well as informative in a hands-on way.”

Since Stop the Threat’s inception in 2008, an estimated 5 million viewers have tuned in to learn “best response” skills and techniques from professionals, and how to defend themselves, their families and their property if targeted by assailants.

The Gun Tasting will be held on Tuesday, July 7 and Sunday, July 12, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. both days, at Boyert Shooting Center, located at 9099 Westheimer Road in Houston. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the facilities, or on the Boyert website at www.boyert.com.

Stop The Threat airs Mondays on the Sportsman Channel at 9:30 p.m. Central Time (DirecTV Channel 605/Dish Network 395 HD and 395 and local cable channels) and Fridays on the Pursuit Channel at 8:00 p.m. Central Time (DirecTV Channel 604/Dish Network 393). About ATSN

NOTE: ATSN was born from the already popular national Radio broadcast, "Trigger Sports Radio", hosted by James B. Towle. Towle wanted to bring the world of Trigger Sports to a whole new level by introducing video clips and LIVE coverage from shooting events, plus NRA updates from Headquarters, Hunting Reports and expert guests on Trigger Sports LIVE! an internet television weekly show. From there, Towle expanded by introducing Trigger Sports TV via DirecTV and Dish Network on the Pursuit Channel. Traveling across the USA, Towle and the ATSN film crew taped competitions and training events in all shooting discipline. Soon after, Towle realized that gun owners needed information on the responsibility of personal self-defense and gun handling beyond the shooting range, and Stop the Threat was born. Each week a panel of law enforcement experts discuss the re-enactment of true crime incidents that have occurred throughout the US and offer the audience sound information to better protect themselves and their loved ones. Towle often asks the viewers to consider "when to shoot or when to retreat". ATSN continues to be the leader in your trigger sports, and personal defense tactics and education.

Mission Statement

"To discuss the safe and responsible ownership of guns as a family sport and an American Tradition".
